Videos and dvd's must be checked out IN PERSON, but you can call the Learning Center to check on availability, at 847 432-8900, ext. 242.

In "In the Month of Kislev", a wealthy arrogant merchant learns the true meaning of Hanukkah when he takes the family of a poor peddler to court for savoring the smell of his wife's pancakes from outside their window. In "Zlateh the Goat", poor Reuven, the furrier, has no choice but to sell his family's beloved goat. But Aaron has other ideas.

Summary: This is a powerful documentary, produced in late 1994, about the Jewish settlers in Hebron. It shows the growth of tensions between Arabs and Jews of Hebron, and their respective radical political beliefs. It takes a critical look at the radical Jewish political groups, such as Kach, whose members advocate the expulsion of all Arabs from Israel, and shows that even the children are being taught to hate Arabs and those who will make peace.

Summary: This penetrating documentary focuses on five young couples who face the problems and challenges of love, marriage and raising children in an interfaith relationship. The couples were all part of a program sponsored by the UAHC, under the supervision of a rabbi, examined their commitment to each other and to their religion. An excellent trigger film.

Through her diary and poetry, eyewitness accounts and the recollections of her mother, the video depicts her life, and how she was captured, interrogated, tried and executed.

Using lessons from his favorite book, Robinson Crusoe, he builds a hideout high above the rubble, and waits for his father's return.
