Videos and dvd's must be checked out IN PERSON, but you can call the Learning Center to check on availability, at 847 432-8900, ext. 242.

Summary: Operation Solomon, in May 1991, flew Ethiopian Jews to Israel, where the new immigrants had to adjust to a new life. Men who had been masters of their houses (blacksmiths, farmers, and weavers, for example) were reduced to dependence on outside help. Families were divided, village communities broken up, and traditional hierarchies destroyed. Yet these immigrants have adjusted to life in Israel, as this video shows.
